OUR PICKS
RICO HOEY 28/1
The team have not seen Rico for years but when I heard he was back playing some decent golf and was playing this week on a course, he loves to play it was a no brainer to get him in as my first pick.
The previous two winners here had a top twenty finish within the two weeks of this event. He has gone ninth at the Procore then follows that last time out with another top five finish.
He looks at home here already in practice and sure to get another solid week under his belt.
TAKUMI KANAYA 60/1
As I have already advised form plays a big factor here in getting a good result let’s look at his run in shall we:
- WINNER of the ANA Open SEPT 2025
- 21ST at the Sanderson Farms OCT 2025
- 4TH at the Baycurrent OCT 2025
- 23RD at the Japan Open OCT 2025
As you can see its not a bad couple of months is it.
One key factor to win around here will be keeping it straight with the driver as many tree lined holes here he ranks 3RD on the PGA Tour for Driving Accuracy.
He is a very good price and love his chances here.
TAYLOR MONTGOMERY 70/1
Mr Utah himself tee’s it up here this week in a very good run of form.
We were present at the Korn Ferry Tour event at Utah only a couple of months ago and boy we were impressed with this player.
He is yet to win a PGA Tour event, but he will make the breakthrough very soon we are sure of that. The only real issue I see this week could be his driving which has cost him dropped shots him over the past few events.
Then I heard he has been working with a new swing coach and one of the main areas has been the driver so we could see that changing here this week.
OTHERS THAT SHOULD FEATURE
CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT 33/1
MATT WALLACE 40/1
DANIEL HILLIER 50/1
Plenty of boxes ticked here to be a big contender this week.
Coming off a solid pay day last week always takes a little bit of pressure off. Sitting 22nd in the race to Dubai he should improve on that here.
It sounds strange but there are certain players on all tours that just prefer to play in or around Asia, Dan is defo one of those players.
Ticks all the boxes to go low here and a great price at 50’s.
CASEY JARVIS 125/1
This is another player who should follow on from his solid week in India. This week it will be against a much weaker field so we should see him give it an even better run.
He is now becoming a complete golfer, and all aspects of his game seem to now be finely tuned, his stats all over have improved this year and we have seen his team grow with some new input and this can only be a good thing.
If he keeps it together over the weekend watch out.
RASMUS NEERGAARD-PETERSEN 16/1
We don’t do favourites as a rule, but we just could not leave Rasmus out here.
We were with his group a few times at the Omega Masters and he looked so good, his iron play was out of this world and that ball striking was clear to see why he ranks so high on the DP World Tour rankings.
Not much else to say apart from we might even back him for an outright win bet as well. He is 19/1 on the Betfair exchange to win.
