LEOPARD CREEK
The COURSE
26 – 29 NOV 2020 – Leopard Creek CC, Malelane, South Africa

Innovative architectural and landscaping techniques ensure that the Leopard Creek golf course and living areas are naturally protected from animals, while lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to create scenic vistas and interesting golf strategies.
Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, for much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures for which the river is named, crocodiles. Extensive use has been made of water features and sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and elephant are commonplace, on the course or in the Kruger Park bordering the course.
The 505 meter par-five 13th is one of Leopard Creek’s most memorable holes. Here the green is right on the edge of the Crocodile river but 32 meters above the level of the water, offering magnificent views up the river and into the Kruger Park.
Gary Player is especially proud of the par-five 18th with its island green and the par-four 9th with its peninsula green jutting out of the same body of water.

What will all of these seasoned professionals already winning this season I feel Richard is playing some of his best stuff of late.
Been a Pro since 1996 and has yet to win a European Tour title so is well overdue. His last few events the team have been very impressed with his overall game and he looks sharper coming into this week than most of the field.
- Irish Open – 14th
- Italian Open – 16th
- Cyprus Showdown – 16th
- Joburg Open – 7th
He had a top ten here in 2012 and then a couple of top fifty places since then. I like the driver around here he is very straight and will be hitting plenty of greens in regulation. If the putter shows up he could go low.
Going for a £5EW bet with PP 60/1 8 Places

So the first of my larger odds picks for this week. For me so happy he missed the cut last week because we can lap this price up from the bookies 150/1 WOW
He has had some good results this season if we go as far back as last years Alfred Dunhill he started very well with an opening 69 and managed a solid tied 14th place. He also played well at the SA Open in January shooting three rounds under par to manage a top thirty finish.
He normally bounces back from a missed cut very well and I can see him doing that this week. I feel a top twenty bet is also a good shout here this week.
Going for a £3EW bet with PP 150/1 8 Places and also a Top 20 bet 15/2 betting £5 with PP as well

Scott for me is yet another player trending at just the right time to play him here this week. It’s a horses for courses track for him here this week having had three top five’s here over the past seven years.
He has only missed the one cut in his last six events on the European Tour so should be a banker to make the weekend for us.
One thing the team have noticed is the fact his putting stats show he is one of the best on Tour right now. With less than 1.74 putts per green in regulation is something we like a lot on these difficult to read greens this week.
It’s been eight long years since his first win at the Nelson Mandela Championship and this boy just seems to turn up and enjoys his golf in SA. I see no difference again here this week following a good top twenty place last week at the Joburg Open, he should follow suit and be in the mix.
Going to bet £5EW with PP 40/1 8 Places

Loving the teams input this week for this Northern Irishman. He is coming into a run of very good form and seems to be a late developer in the world of golf, with I believe some of his best golf to come.
Coming into this event very much under the radar.
- Alfred Dunhill – 14th
- British Masters – 8th
- Scottish AXA – 7th
- Italian Open – 5th
So pretty impressive results already for this season against some very strong fields.
A very good putter and has been working hard on that as we can now see paying off with his recent results.
I think at worse he has a top ten here this week.
Going for a £3EW with PP 125/1 8 Places

Talk about a player primed to pick up his first European Tour title very soon.
He has shown the team absolute consistency over the past few months, he has made every cut since the Celtic Classic back in August. His last twenty rounds of competitive golf has seen seventeen of those under par.
He won on the Challenge Tour back in June 2019 at the Italian Challenge where we had a few guys caddying that week and they all said this kid is one to watch. They all predicted he would win in his first full year on the European Tour. So here we are with only a handful of events to play I am backing him this week to get the job done.
He will be playing in this event for the third time now, his last two were 2018 56th and 2019 49th. Third time lucky let’s hope so.
Betting £5EW with PP 33/1 paying 8 places. He is 40/1 in places as well.
