AUSTRALIAN OPEN

The Australian Open, owned and run by Golf Australia, is the oldest and most prestigious golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The Open was first played in 1904 and takes place toward the end of each year.

KINGSTON HEATH GC

Kingston Heath Golf Club is one of the premier golf clubs in Australia, located in Cheltenham, Victoria. The course is situated in the sandbelt region in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne, famed for its golf courses. Kingston Heath consistently ranks among the top three courses in Australia and the top 20 courses in the world.

The club has hosted many major events, including seven men’s Australian Opens, one Women’s Australian Open, seven Victorian Opens, two Australian Masters, and the 2016 World Cup of Golf. The Men’s Australian Open was scheduled to return to Kingston Heath in 2020 but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kingston Heath will host the Presidents Cup in 2028.

The current course was designed by Dan Soutar and was constructed by M.A Morcom. Originally, it played as a par 82 and at the time was the longest course in Australia. Its founders were of the opinion that it was easier to shorten the course rather than to lengthen it

OUR PICKS
ANGEL AYORA 40/1

You might not have heard of Ayora before but we have he is very similar to last week’s wild-card pick in Elvis and we feel this could be the week for him to shine. His form coming in is pretty impressive:

He took second place at the Hangzhou Open and followed that up again the following week with another runner-up place at the Rolex Challenge Tour final, where he showed some amazing golf. Then, last week, he kept under the radar, getting yet another top ten at the BMW Australian Champs.

From what we have seen of his game, I feel he could win it here this week. One to defo watch.

DAVID MICHELUZZI 28/1

I feel his odds need to be a lot bigger than this based on the field this week.

But from the reports back from the PGA Tour we have plenty to be positive about.

We tracked his last event on the PGA Tour at the Genesis and once again plenty for us to get interested in for sure.

He won three times last year and is yet to get over that winning line in 2024, I feel this changes this week we could go on to be a great winner here.

JASON SCRIVENER 66/1

It was a good thing for us he missed the cut last week it was not his type of event or course to be fair.

Whilst following him this year the team did have him backed at the Omega Masters but we left him out. That week he did have a strong finish and would have gotten us a good place return. I feel this week it could be the win for us.

He won the NSW Open beating an in-form Lucas Herbert so we know if he has chances getting into the weekend he will not be afraid of getting the job done, I am sure of that.

CURTIS LUCK 125/1

I am going to stay with Mr. Luck for this week. We saw quite a lot of his golf last week close up, and he looked good out there. I just feel the course was not to his liking really in the end. This course is much more of a tougher test, and I feel his game should set up even better here this week.

His last professional win came back in 2020 so he is well overdue for another win very soon.

The distance he hits it from the tee will help him here big time and if he is coming down the stretch with three of the toughest scoring holes to close he could be a great bet for us.

MATTHEW MILLIAR 750/1

You must have all heard of this guy a seasoned professional with a bag full of talent and experience under his belt.

OK so it has been some time since he has landed a win but what with the current gold equipment on the market these days you can still be winning at the top level well into your 50’s that is a fact!!!

His two wins have come in Australia and he could be rolling back the years here and feel he has a great chance to be in the mix come Sunday.

And let’s face it even a place would be epic for us here at 750/1.
