CZECH MASTERS
ST JUDE CHAMPIONSHIP
The D+D Real Czech Masters is a European Tour golf tournament played annually in the Czech Republic. The inaugural tournament was played from 21 to 24 August 2014 at the Albatross Golf Club in Prague.
ALBATROSS GOLF RESORT
The championship course, designed by renowned English architect Keith Preston, opened in 2009. Situated within sight of Prague, the eighteen-hole course can stand comparison with the best courses of its kind in continental Europe. Its quality and difficulty have been tested by the likes of Ernie Els, Pádraig Harrington, John Daly, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Francesco Molinari, Martin Kaymer, Danny Willett, Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood, Luke Donald and Rory Sabbatini in DP World Tour events (from 2014 to 2023). However, the Albatross was put to the test just two years after its opening when it hosted two Ladies European Tour events in 2011 and 2012.
One of the best courses in the Czech Republic, it has five sets of tees, measuring an impressive 6792 metres from the black tees (professional) and 5031 metres from the red tees (ladies). As a result, it is a challenge for all categories of players and each golfer can set his or her own level of difficulty. Its strengths are its variety of design and, above all, the quality of the playing surfaces, which are maintained all year round. No wonder the resort has been included in the prestigious Golf World TOP 100 Golf Courses Continental Europe 2019 list.
In addition to the course itself, the resort offers a modern clubhouse with a renowned restaurant serving Czech and international cuisine, conference facilities for smaller business meetings for corporate clients, above-standard training facilities and a pleasant environment for other leisure activities.

The FedEx St. Jude Classic was a professional golf tournament held in Memphis, Tennessee as a regular event on the PGA Tour. The tournament was held annually from 1958 through 2018, and was played in June at TPC Southwind (since 1989).
In 2019, FedEx took over sponsorship of the WGC Invitational and relocated the tournament to Memphis in late July. The relocated WGC event continues the charitable relationship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The new name for the relocated event is the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational for the 2021–22 season, the WGC Invitational was discontinued, and the first FedEx Cup playoff event was relocated to TPC Southwind with FedEx as the new title sponsor; the event will be named the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
TPC SOUTHWIND
TPC Southwind is a private golf club in Shelby County, Tennessee, southern United States, located within the gated community of Southwind in Southeast Memphis.
East-southeast of central Memphis, the 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Ron Prichard, in consultation with tour pros Hubert Green and Fuzzy Zoeller. TPC Southwind opened in 1988, and is a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. It is near the world headquarters of FedEx, adjacent to the west.
TPC Southwind has been the venue for the tour’s annual FedEx St. Jude Classic, formerly the Memphis Open, since 1989. The event was previously played at Colonial Country Club in Cordova. TPC Southwind was renovated following the 2004 event.
The course length for the first PGA Tour event was 7,006 yards (6,406 m) in 1989, and has played at 7,244 yards (6,624 m) since 2005, except in 2007 and 2008, when it was five yards shorter. With 94 bunkers and ten water hazards, TPC Southwind was ranked ninth in difficulty out of 51 courses on the PGA Tour in 2011. Hole 14 at 239 yards (219 m) consistently ranks as one of the toughest par 3’s on the PGA Tour.
The course grass is Bermuda for the greens and rough, with Zoysia on the tees and fairways. Prior to 2005, the greens were bent grass

OUR PICKS
ANTOINE ROZNER 35/1
We have been tracking Antoine for a while now. We feel that this week could be one of his best chances to pick up DP World Tour win number four.
One main factor that stood out for us was his greens in regulation stats where he ranks inside the top ten on the DP World Tour.
He is playing some of his best golf this year, he went close to winning the Qatar Masters back in February.
His last win was in fact back at the Qatar Masters in 2021 so well overdue a win and this course and set up should be to his liking. One to watch.
ROMAIN LANGASQUE 28/1
Romain fits the bill for us here this week. He is a great lover of Kyle Phillips designed courses and this one is right up there. Some of his other courses he has designed have been more links type tracks where he has performed very well over his career.
There will not be a lot of people backing him this week so these odds are good due to his missed cut at this event was the only time he has played it which was back in 2022. He comes in with three top ten’s over his past eight starts and feel he will carry that on here. If he can make the cut then watch out.
TOM LEWIS 80/1
I noticed plenty of players we had on our short list back live this week with around 80 to 100/1 in the market but Tom for me stood out.
Ticks the bill to get the job done here, what we liked:
- 4 cuts made coming in
- Top 10 in his last event
- 2 top ten’s here over the past 6 years
It’s been a long time since his last win on the European Tour but feel the form he is showing right now he could be a banker to get the job done very soon one to watch over the next few events if he does not win here could be going close soon.
OTHERS ON THE LIST THIS WEEK
JULIEN GUERRIER 40/1
I had no choice but to put him in this week. The team had him top of every stat we tracked him on this week and at 40’s we went with him.
DANIEL BROWN 55/1
Good friend of ours and after speaking to him at the Open this year there was plenty to like. The driver has been letting him down this season but he turned the corner at the Open and closed that week with an amazing top ten place. We like what we have been viewing could be his week to shine.
COREY CONNERS 35/1
Corey has made us plenty of cash profit over the year’s since we started backing him. I feel the same here as well this week. The two time PGA Tour winner comes into this week in good form.
Check out his Majors this year:
- Masters – 38TH
- PGA – 26TH
- US Open – 9TH
- The Open – 25TH
Talk about a player that can adapt to any course and set up all over the world then this guy is your man. He was in contention on the last day of the US Open but was a bridge too far that day. We think he gets another win soon and this course should be to his liking.
SEPP STRAKA 70/1
Having only backed Sepp three times since the start of 2023 he has not really delivered for us.
This could be that changing week and we feel that he could land us a good pay day here. I feel we were just unlucky at the events we had backed him previously as he won the John Deere last year so was playing well.
One key stat that we have picked up on with his build up to us week has been his driving accuracy, we followed him for most of the day yesterday and we did not see him miss one fairway.
If the putter catches FIRE watch out.
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA 28/1
The Masters Champion is well overdue another win. World ranked number twelve and looks to be playing some of his best golf this season and of late.
Winner of the Genesis this year beating Will by three shots for a very easy win in the end.
He played well at the Olympics but as we know it was not really a proper golfing event that week and not many people enjoy that week in the betting.
What stats do we like of his coming unto this week?
- SG Total – 1.283 7TH PGA Tour
- SG Approach – 0.365 33RD PGA Tour
- Proximity to hole – 29TH PGA Tour
- Scrambling – 67.91% 5TH PGA Tour
Could be getting us the win come Sunday.
OTHERS ON THE LIST THIS WEEK
SAHITH THEEGALA 40/1
Two top ten’s in his last three events should carry this form onto this week, one to watch at this price.
SUNGJAE IM 40/1
Horses for courses pick here should go very well.
