Inspired by the great parkland courses of Europe and North America, Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course is home to the DP World Tour Championship. Dubai sets the scene for an incredible experience. The rolling fairways, brilliant white bunkering, and deep red ochre landscape are framed by a plethora of trees and shrubs making each hole picture perfect. The abundance of nature is reflected in the many lakes, throughout the experience, which are home to a myriad of wildlife. The journey is concluded where the last 4 holes play alongside or over water culminating in a meandering creek running the full length of the final hole.

El Camaleon Golf Course
[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.7.4″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”|600|||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″]
El Camaleón Golf Club at the Mayakoba resort is another masterpiece of Australian golf legend, Greg Norman. The 7,039-yard course bends through three distinct landscapes – tropical jungle, dense mangroves, and oceanfront stretches of sand with holes bisected by massive limestone canals. The course even incorporates a cenote – an underground cavern common to the area – into the heart of the No. 7 fairway. Norman balanced the course to make it enjoyable for golfers of all abilities; each hole is sprinkled with a minimum of five tee blocks, so there is a distance for every player.
While the course is a standout, the surrounding golf amenities are equally as stunning. The handsome clubhouse rises above the 18th green and the adjoining practice facility and driving range complete a superb golf experience.
In 2007, El Camaleón made history by becoming the first golf course to host an official PGA TOUR event in México and the first official PGA TOUR event ever contended outside of the United States or Canada.

My first pick has to be Mr Green this week he has shown some brilliant starts over the past couple of months that is why I think he will also be a contender fort the first round leader as well here.
Backed him a few times over the years and he normally gives us a good run, he just needs to find that bit more over the weekend’s play to get nearer the top of the leader board, if he is contention he could be yet another rookie to win and get the job done.
I feel his game is there and we have seen sparks of that of late, he showed us that at the Showdown in Cyprus where he managed a top ten. He could be aggressive there and this course is also set up like that. The team saw him taking on some ridicules shots and lines at pins but pulling them off with ease. Can only mean confidence is high.
Going to bet £5EW with Betfred 66/1 6 places.

This course screams out to us at team GBT as a player who should suit around here will have to be very aggressive with the driver also be able to attack pins and hole out a few monster putts?
Verdict Alexander Levy, talk about a place made for his style of golf. Again we got here early this week and boy he seemed to have an extra bounce in his step this week after playing well at the Alfred Dunhill. I feel he has now got that constancy back in his game and closing the weekend 68-69 last week his putter seems to be also working well again.
At this price he should be snapped up.

Liking the look of Grillo here this week, coming off a good week at the RSM Classic where he managed a top twenty finish.
Pervious results here also are quite appealing:
2016 – 10th 2017 – 9th 2018 – 15th 2019 – 41st
His approach play has been the stand out for me of late. He is on average 75.85% for greens in regulation and that is pretty impressive when you think his driving accuracy is as poor as 61%.
But why does he look better here this week, he has been working very hard on improving his driving and using the feedback from trackman. His numbers already look better then when we saw him at the RSM and there he was peaking around 71%. If he is close to this percentage this week he will be very close come Sunday.
I would like to see him spend a bit more time on the greens before Thursday but with that said he is still a good bet at 66/1.

As you know we rarely back favourites in any events to be honest. But Harris at 16/1 it a pretty good bet still. With a few inside him on the market he for me is playing the better golf leading into this week.
So at the US Open a solid fourth place finish, he then went missed cut at the Shriners followed that with a top ten at the CJ Cup. His last showing at the RSM was another impressive display of just how good this guy’s game is in right now.
I feel if he gets his putting back to over a shot gained like his average then he wins here this week by quite a few shots.
I will be going to bet £5EW with Paddy Power 16/1 8 places.

A great each way shout this week is Adam. He only joined the PGA Tour in 2019 and picked up a win already at the Desert Classic. He is now well into his third season and has well and truly found his feet. He was born on the coast in New Orleans so will be well used the heat here this week and his only win did come in the Desert.
He had a good US Open which boosted him up the world rankings since then he had a fifth place at the Corales and a very good Houston Open finishing in a tie for 11th place.
The reason for not winning more since being on tour for me has to be the putter, if he can get that working well here we could see a good outsider winner here.

Here we go with a bigger outsider pick with John Huh. OK so all previous winners here were high in greens in regulation, very high percentage in scrambling and also very solid on the greens. I know from what the team have told me he stands in the top five this week over the whole field with these three stats combined beating the likes of Russell Henley, Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau. So you have to admit it is great value at over 100/1.
Another thing to add is the work he has been doing with the big stick, another player who has now improved his accuracy off the tee considerably and is now around 72.56% ranking 13th on the PGA Tour.
And let’s not forget he has won this event back in 2012, he is coming into this year’s event with better form than the previous couple of years so can only see another good week from him.
Going to bet £5EW with Paddy Power 100/1 8 places – you can still get 170/1 on the exchange
