RSM CLASSIC
The RSM Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, played in the autumn in Georgia. It debuted in October 2010 on St. Simons Island, Georgia at the Sea Island Golf Club. The tournament was known as the McGladrey Classic until 2015, when the title sponsor’s name changed from McGladrey to RSM US.
Resident tour pros Davis Love III and Zach Johnson kicked off the event in March 2010, where they helped to unveil the tournament’s new logo, which was painted by Rock Demarco. The inaugural event in 2010 was won by Heath Slocum, one stroke ahead of runner-up Bill Haas.
Since 2015, the event has been played over both the Seaside and Plantation courses at Sea Island, with the field expanded to 156 players. Between 2015 and 2019 and in 2021, it was the final official PGA Tour event of the calendar year, with only a few unofficial tournaments being held until the season resumed in January.
SEA ISLAND GOLF
Sea Island’s most dramatic layout, Seaside is routinely ranked among the top 100 courses in the United States. Beautifully manicured fairways and greens, sweeping dunes mixed with native grasses, wildflowers, and bunkers. And a wind that creates a different golf experience daily. Seaside is an ocean-side links course that combines a beautiful natural setting with a golf course that is both challenging and fun. It’s tough to have a bad day on a course like this.
A Tom Fazio re-design of the 1929 classic by famous golf course architects Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison, today’s course ties the original Seaside with the old Marshside course, transforming two nines from “18 holes that didn’t match into 18 matchless holes,” according to Sea Island touring professional Davis Love III. Along with the Plantation Course, it is the home of the PGA TOUR’s RSM Classic, a FedEx cup event hosted by Love.

OUR PICKS
TAYLOR MONTGOMERY 140/1
Taylor is our hot of the press pick first up. Big odds but a player we feel could really shine at this venue.
He came very close to winning the Utah Champs on the Korn Ferry Tour back in August we had a few of the team live at that event and gathered some useful information about hm and what courses he turns up at. Suri that week just played the better golf all week and earned the win over Monty.
This week’s event will be won on the greens quite an open course where there will be plenty of birdies and this man is a birdie machine. Second on the PGA for strokes gained putting that will play a big factor here.
GREYSON SIGG 125/1
We have been tracking Greyson for a while now and feel this week could be his time to shine.
Coming off a run of five straight cuts made and playing some of his best golf right now he does have a chance of getting over the line.
When we look back at his missed cuts this year and there has been a few its only the odd shot here and there, its not like he has played poorly in rounds one and two.
Despite this his stats are still impressive and seem to match a horses for courses fit around here:
- Scrambling from Rough – 65%
- Proximity to hole – Ranked 15TH on PGA Tour
- Driver Accuracy – 65.48%
If he can get into the weekend who knows.
SEAMUS POWER 66/1
Have I left the best until last well we will see.
Two time a winner on the PGA tour so he knows how to get the job done that’s for sure.
2021 – Barbasol
2023 – Bermuda
He is a player that follows trends and he seems to always play better at the end of a year for some strange reason. Winning the Bermuda two years ago from nowhere was impressive.
He ticks all the boxes around here so lets see what he can do for us.
DENNY MCCARTHY 33/1
He is a player that will win on the PGA Tour its just about the right time and course for him and this week it could be finally that time having turned pro back in 2015 it could be his lucky number ten so watch out.
Our caddie who was on the bag for Bhatia last year remembered the Texas Open where it was decided on a play off and even he agreed Denny was very unlucky not to get the win that week.
Following the trend of types of golfers who win here it’s the flat stick is the number one key to getting that win come Sunday, he again ranks very high so another one to watch.
ERIC COLE 60/1
Eric is next up with four top tens’ already for 2025.
The reason we are getting such good odds for him is because of his missed cut last week but let us take a look at the previous events coming in:
- CJ CUP – 5TH
- Sanderson – 9TH
- WWT – 10TH
Two ten tens in his last four starts are somewhat impressive against much stronger fields.
Known as a bomber with his longest drive recorded at 410 yards this year he will be setting up plenty of mid to short irons here and being ranked inside the top twenty for yardage approach from inside 125 yards we could be on to a winner here.
