COLLIN MORIKAWA 35/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: 35-MC-4-5

So our lowest odds pick of the week goes to Collin this week.

The team have had some great insight over his form and play in the build up to this week’s Major.

One main factor for players over the past ten years winning at the US Open, has been good results and performances during the West coast swing:

  • The Farmers – 3RD
  • The Genesis – 6TH

Pretty impressive also following that with a top ten at the Masters. He ranks very high strokes gained approach to the green which will also be needed to win this thing this week.

Total Driving ranks top thirty on the PGA which has been improving of late so everything could be clicking come Major week.

COREY CONNERS 80/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: MC-MC-MC-MC

With his second win on the PGA Tour coming at the Texas Open only a short while ago. We think he has a great chance to go low here this week.

His major’s so far this year, well the Masters he struck out missing the cut but that is no real surprise coming of the back of a win the week before and having to deal with all the press and everything else that goes with it. When you look at his Masters record from 2020 to 2022 he went 10TH 8TH 6TH.

The PGA Champs he performed well finishing in a tie for twelfth.

For us it was a good thing he missed the cut at the Memorial as we will be getting a much better price this week. One to watch.

JUSTIN ROSE 50/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: 5-MC-10-MC-MC-MC-21-WIN-12-27-MC-MC-10-3-MC-MC-37

For those of you that have been following us this year we have been calling a Rose win for quite a while, he finally did just that at the AT&T Pebble.

The caddy player team are good friends of ours and we have been out for quite a few meals and drinks over the years but one thing stood out for me this year was his buzz to get another Major under his belt. So with two Majors down this year already he went close at both to be honest.

Masters was a great showing with a top twenty finish and then at the US PGA he had a top ten, so the US Open has to follow suit at worse a top five right?

We think it could be his week and Fitz and Rose will both be having a few after the round celebrating on Sunday.

HARRIS ENGLISH 175/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: 48-37-46-58-4-3-61

We backed Harris at the Memorial where we got some good odds of 125/1, he made the cut but just fell away over the weekend that week.

He is a player who is a horses for courses fit here around on this course and set up.

Our only worry with him was the driver but from what we have seen and the work he has been putting in with his coaching team lately we should now be very happy now.

Looking through stats you would not back him but this is where our inside the ropes knowledge comes into its own, so forget your graphs and data capture. We have been live with him over the past few events with our own trackman and live on course practice rounds and we see him having a great chance to win here.

GARY WOODLAND 125/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: 47-MC-23-MC-52-MC-50-36-WIN-MC-50-10

Good old Gary, he had to be in for us this week. I have tipped him up five times this year already and he has us in profit with the biggest return coming at the Genesis where he managed to get us a 125/1 place win.

He has been knocking on the door for quite a while now, it’s only a matter of time before he adds to his four career wins and feel he raises his game when on the bigger stage so could be the perfect platform and become a two time winner of the US Open.

Top ten here last year and we feel his game is in a much better place overall today so we could see us land a 125/1 winner which would be out biggest Major odds winner for sure.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU 45/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: MC-15-MC-25-35-WIN-26-56

He could be the sort of player this week who just runs away with it. Whilst walking the course the past few days we followed his prep team. There are around seven tee shots that he could take out almost all of the trouble and attack, so a big plus against the field when he could be going in with a wedge compared to the average of the field hitting 7-6 irons.

Course set up to his liking, playing well now on LIV and now they have joined forces with the PGA feel it could be a match made this week. Could be an outright back here.

DENNY MCCARTHY 150/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: 42-MC-7

The world number 34 comes into this major week in some great run of form. Top ten at the Wells Fargo and just recently another great effort at the Memorial where he made the play off against Viktor where he just came up a little short.

Known as a putting god and on these greens and this course we should see plenty more of this coming to the top of his own skill set.

The main reason I think we are getting such good odds is the driver, he is not the best with this club but the team advised us this has improved a lot of the past few events. I think he could feature over the weekend and a great price.

ADAM SCOTT 80/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY:MC-MC-MC-28-21-MC-26-36-MC-MC-15-45-9-4-18-MC-MC-7-38-35-14

The best bet of the week has to be Adam.

We know how much of a class player he is, so let’s take a look at some of his results leading into this week:

  • WELLS FARGO – 5TH
  • AT&T BYRON – 8TH
  • PGA CHAMP – 29TH
  • MEMORIAL – 9TH

After his good pal Jason Day winning after such a long time we feel it has now sparked even more live into his desire to get another Major win under his belt. After catching up with his caddy earlier in the year he said he will win this year and he has been building towards either the US Open or The Open. So his prep is completed and feel he is now ready to get the job done.

SHANE LOWRY 70/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: MC-MC-9-2-46-MC-28-43-65-MC

I think most people will be in agreement with me when I say how he has not won more over in the US. His game plus his amazing short game he should be ticking off wins left right and centre.

So let’s start with stats to get the win at this course and where Shane stands:

  • Total Driving – 7TH PGA Tour
  • Driving Accuracy – 17TH 65% PGA Tour
  • Approach 200 yards – 19TH PGA Tour
  • SG Off the Tee – 28TH PGA Tour
  • SG Approach to Green – 14TH PGA Tour

He fits every aspect for the north course this week. He had a good Masters and a good PGA Championship both inside the top twenty. I feel this course will be more to his game set and liking so watch this space feel he good be a front runner.

SAM BENNETT 1000/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: 49

The team were all over Sam for this week and at this price we could be laughing.

The three events he has played this year on the PGA Tour have been:

  • MASTERS – 16TH
  • MEMORIAL – 63RD
  • RBC CANADIAN – 20TH

Not too bad for his first debut at the Masters he opened with a bogey free 68 in round one and then shot another 68 in round two to become the first amateur since 2003 to be inside the top three on the leader board through 36 holes.

He turned Professional in May following that great Masters performance.

It could be a true magic US Open story this week and the dream could come true for this young 23 year old. He lost his dad in 2021 with early onset Alzheimer’s he was only 45, the last thing he wrote to his son Sam was “Don’t want to do something” Sam then had this tattooed on his left forearm.

Could be the story of the week.

WYNDHAM CLARK 80/1
US OPEN PAST HISTORY: MC-MC

My last pick in fact came from a new source we have started to work with since the Masters.

We followed Wyndham inside the ropes at the Wells Fargo, he was pretty impressive that week shooting rounds of 67-67-63-68 to close at -19 and win the event with ease.

His PGA Championship was not great but we can forgive him that after winning the week before.

Another impressive performance came at the Memorial only a poor Sunday saw he drift the wrong way on the leader board.

Plenty to like here for this week and feel he really could have a good chance in winning, he is inside the top fifty stats on the PGA Tour that count this week so we could be onto a great thing come Sunday.
