Not the best of value on offer here this week but we have tried to get the best from what is on offer.

In this match type format I always like to look at good matches between players and I see so many good things with Louis and Bubba this week. Louis is solid iron player as well as a great putter if you take Bubba’s driving and the way he can move it off the tee it’s a match made in heaven.

We all know both players have great match play records playing in the Presidents Cup, Ryder Cups and World match play events, this will be the first appearance for Louis in this shootout and they will both be very competitive. Watson has already had a bit of a wind up digging Louis about the Masters 2012 where he beat him in a playoff.

Not worth an each way bet at this price going for a £10 win with William Hill 7/1

The dream team for sure this week, they are pairing together for the sixth time. They are the most successful pairings in Shootout history. It is just another great fit and should both play well and have another good week.

They won this in 2013 and 2016 and were runners up in 2014/2015.

English is playing well having a great sixth place at the RSM Classic and a top five last week. Kuchar has been having an OK season but with this type of event his game normally comes good.

Norman’s design was inspired by the great parkland courses of Europe and North America, with rolling fairways lined by over 3,500 trees, numerous water hazards and over 100 bunkers this golf course is a fantastic experience for all. The 4th hole is one to look out for, at 253 yards from the back tees it is the start of a very tough stretch through the front nine. The final four holes provide an exciting finish of which Greg Norman is very proud, with water featuring on all four and the creek running through the full length of the 18th hole, he considers them ‘the most challenging mile in golf’.

The world number 66 is looking forward to playing here this week. The run of form he has shown over this season has been pretty special.

Tied 4th place at the British Masters hosted by Lee Westwood in July, he then managed to win the English Championship a couple of weeks later.

He then had a dip in form as most players do after a win, but from what the team saw of his game at the BMW on a tough course and then last week only last week his iron play has never looked so good. His greens in regulation is and impressive 72.32% and we all know what a solid putter he is.

The other factor is when he normally hits form like this in a season he will win more than once so why not make it this week.

He was so close to the magic 59 last week in his opening round shooting a very nice 61, I see no reason why that in his current form he get the job done here this week.

Going for £5EW with William Hill 28/1 paying 7 places.

We have really got to know Dean well over this past year. Top bloke and always has time for us when he is on the course or practicing. We joked about the way he cost our customers an each way place at the Joburg Open in November. So he said will try his best this week to give you all something back.

Like the way it was swinging it last week at the SA Open managing top five finish. I don’t think anyone was going to catch Bezuidenhout.

This course will suit a boomer of the tee and boy can he get it out there with an average of 332.88 off the tee more than 30 yards over the field average.

I just think he owes us and we will have some fun following him around this week.

Joost always seems to be a banker for GBT over the years. I was tempted to play him at the Italian Open but felt he was still not there with his game. This I feel is the week to play him he seems to raise his game at the bigger events and knows how to get the job done with six European Tour wins under his belt he is no mug when it comes to leading from the front of the pack.

Most of his wins seem to come at the later second half of the year so this again would be a good fit with his last win coming back in 2018 at the Oman Open.

His overall record here since 2010 is not too shabby either:

26/51/16/4/9/31/13/44/22/20

He looked good out there this week in practice and confidence is sky high after really finding his putting stroke last week. Always a good tee to green player so should be a good bet here.

Another player we like the look of this week his caddy is a close friend with GBT and he has given us some inside information that we like the look off this week.

He is a class player and with seven wins on the European Tour. Three of those wins came in 2019 where he played his socks off winning the Made in Denmark, Scottish Open and the Italian Open over the space of four months.

He now I feel has found his mojo and looking at his weekend scoring you can see why 66/67.

The work he has been putting into the driver of late are promising signs and feel he should be making a few adjustments this week which will suit this course and shape of shots he likes to execute.

This young star is on such a run at the moment. Second at the Joburg Open, twelfth at the Alfred Dunhill and then only last week just outside another top ten at the SA Open.

Not many players have we followed and just been amazed in just how far this kid hits it off the tee, I think he is past Bryson with pure carry on the course not talking trackman just course play and from what we see week in week out. His average from the tee is 344.29 yards when you thing the tour average is 302.89 that could be as much as three clubs difference on approach shots.

Good short game and has to be with his greens in regulation only around 66%. The only reason he has not picked up his first win yet is the putter. We have seen him working hard the past couple of days on the practice green putting in many hours and the stroke is now looking good and more consistent.

I am going £5EW with Paddy Power 50/1 paying 7 places.
