JUSTIN ROSE 50/1
OPEN HISTORY: 4-MC-30-22-MC-12-70-13-MC-44-MC-MC-23-6-22-54-2-20-46
Our good pal Justin is hitting some great form and allways seems to turn up at the Majors. I did give this pick out a week early to our paying customers to get the best value. We were inside the ropes with him this year at the Farmers Insurance Open at the end of January, we caught up with his caddy as well that week and even he said everything is starting to come together and the win is not far away. I feel this is the best time to play him after a good US PGA just outside the top ten that week and then another good run at the US Open top fourty there as well that week. Could be my NAP for the week.

SEAMUS POWER 100/1
OPEN HISTORY: ROOKIE
Going for this rookie here this week and for very good reading. We have followed his career since his college days at East Tennessee State, he was studying accounting then but the golf was always his passion. Born in the home town of my granddad in Waterford we always have got on well and he seems to become a well-known face of the PGA Tour. So after only a few years on the PGA Tour he won the Barbasol back in the 2020/21 season. In his early days most of his junior golf was against the likes of Shane Lowry and Rory Mcllroy, he is a three time Irish Youth champion. He has been a rookie at all the other majors this season, • Masters – 27TH • PGA Champ – 9TH • US Open – 12TH • The Open ??? I think he follows suit and at these odds could be a great week for him, we caught up with him last week as he got here early talk about a game that suits St Andrews he is your man. Could go low and be the surprise here this week. Top 20 bet could also be on the cards.

TONY FINAU 50/1
OPEN HISTORY: 18-27-9-3-15
Tony just loves playing the Open and for a very good reason his game again just fits so well to British links feel tracks so playing at the home of golf will be right up his alley. Players coming on hot to majors you can never right off so let’s see Tony’s previous few events shall we: • 2ND – Mexico Open • 4TH – Charles Schwab • 2ND – RBC Canadian • 13TH – Travelers We wanted to take a look at his putting during these results to see just how he faired. Mexico he was down half a stroke on the field, the Charles up over half a shot the RBC an impressive one and a half shots better than the field. This was the great trend we liked to see and he has been distance putting here all week getting the feel so the game is on we know that the putter is one so this could be get another NAP for us. And what a nice chap of the good guys and he has already got so much support here, we clocked two to three hundred fans just following Tony on a few practice rounds last week. One to watch and if the putter is on who knows.

CAMERON SMITH 25/1
OPEN HISTORY: MC-78-20-33
46
Well we feel it’s the time to play Cammy again after we tipped him a long time ago now at the Sentry TOC at the start of the year at 30/1 picking us a great win that week to kick start 2022. So he seems to be maturing well at the Open Championship his best result was back in 2019 with a top twenty finish but feel now we are going into this Open with a totally different animal. Two time winner in 2022 already and one of those was at what we call the fifth major being the Players. He also came close at the Masters in the end a tie for third place. I was surprised his results at previous Opens were not better than this but at this price he goes ahead of so many favourites this week. Not much else to say apart from a no brainier on your betting slips this week.

KEVIN KISNER 150/1
OPEN HISTORY: MC-76-54-2-30-73
This is one of the teams picks here this week. So taking there word for it, he has bagged us a few wins in the past so normally a good banker bet for us. So let’s take his best two results so far for the 2022 season, fourth place at the Players and third place at the Sony Open in Hawaii. If we some up both events they tick so many boxes for this week. The Players as I have already said is like a Major event the Hawaii has the wind conditions you will have to be able to deal with in Scotland that is for sure. He came very close to winning this Champion back in 2018 where he was the runner up but we feel St Andrews will suit him better and he could go very low around here. If he hits the front early he could run away with this.

MARC LEISHMAN 80/1
OPEN HISTORY: 60-MC-MC-5-2-53-6-60-MC-MC
Marc has always been a good banker for us in the Majors. As you can see from his previous results at the Open he has had a very mixed bag with plenty of missed cuts thrown in along the way. I personally feel that he is hitting the form from 2014 to 2017 where he went three top ten’s out of three Opens. WOW! Take his Majors this year, top thirty at the Masters, 34TH at the PGA and better at the US Open where he finished in a tie for 14TH. His missed cuts for me are not that much of a worry coming into this week and happy with 80/1 would have liked to have got three figures but the bookies are not that stupid, we all know what can happen in golf from one week to the next. If he can through to the weekend then he should grind out another solid performance here.

CAMERON YOUNG 90/1
OPEN HISTORY: ROOKIE
I feel this is a feel good bet here this week with Mr Young. Could be the dream setting for him here this week. Yet to win on the PGA Tour but has been a knocking on the door a lot this year already. Runner up three times already at the Wells Fargo, The Genesis and the Sanderson Farms. He was so bad off the tee last week at the Genesis Scottish Open, but I must admit the rough was a lot worse than it is here at St Andrews, so I can forgive his missed cut. St Andrews plays so wide and open he will get away with that off the tee stat here, plus the rough is minimal at around one to two inches of rough all over so not really a factor. I feel 90’s is still too low would have thought after last week would have been close to 150/1 for the week. The other thing we like was that fact his off the tee was that bad his average for the season on the PGA Tour is nearly a shot better than the field, so feel it was just one of those weeks to be fair should bounce back stronger here I feel.

TOMMY FLEETWOOD 33/1
OPEN HISTORY: MC-MC-MC-27-12-2-33
Tommy was a slow starter here over his early appearances at the Open Championship. Missed cuts in 2014/2015 and 2016. As with any Major he has now found his feet and with odds around 40/1 this has be a great bet here. His results this year have been pretty impressive too all over the world: • DUABI – 12TH • SAUDI – 8TH • PLAYERS – 22ND • ARNOLD PALMER – 20TH • VALSPAR – 16TH • MASTERS – 14TH • HERITAGE – 10TH • US PGA – 5TH • PORSCHE OPEN – 10TH • SCOTTISH OPEN – 4TH Not much else to say apart from we could have another English Major winner and at 40’s loving this bet. One of the banker bets for the week.

RYAN FOX 66/1
OPEN HISTORY: 49-MC-39-16-67
So the best on form player playing this week is on paper Ryan Fox. We have made a fair few quid from him over the past few years and he finally got over the winning line at the Ras Al Classic in February since then I mean what a run of results. Six top ten’s in the space of ten events I mean that is special. It’s only a matter of time before he finally turns up at a Major and gives it a real good go. I feel there was a lot of pressure on him last week and feel after not playing his best stuff will suit him to come under the radar here and carry on this great run of form. Will be on plenty of betting slips am sure and for good reason.

OTHER PLAYERS THAT COULD FEATURE
DYLAN FRITTELLI - 200/1 - OPEN HISTORY MC-MC-32-5

Experienced campaigner with a knowledge of various tours all over the world 5th here last year could be a surprise and keeping under the radar.

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI - 300/1 - OPEN HISTORY MC-MC

He has to turn up for an Open at some point and feel the way he is hitting it right now its his best chance for a great payday.

CHRISTIAAN BEZUIDENHOUT - 125/1 - OPEN HISTORY MC-53

World number 57 at odds of 100/1 I am all over this bet here. Playing well in a hot run of form. No reason he can’t win this week. One of the best putters here as well so hopefully keeps that 3 putt avoidance going.
